Your Role as a Solar Installer

  • Install solar panel systems on residential and commercial rooftops and ground-mount structures.
  • Ensure job site safety and proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Operate hand and power tools to install racking and solar components.
  • Provide exceptional service and communication with clients.
  • Maintain clean and organized job sites.

What You Bring:

  • Ability to carry up to 60 lbs and work on ladders and rooftops.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor conditions year-round.
  • Reliable transportation and occasional willingness to travel out of town.
  • A team-oriented mindset and passion for sustainability.
  • Minimum English level CLB 7 for safety compliance.
  • Must be eligible to become an apprentice in Alberta if not already indentured.

Preferred Assets (Not Required):

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
  • Experience in construction, trades, or roofing.
  • Solar installation training or certification (e.g., SAIT, NAIT, NABCEP, SEI).
  • Prior solar installation experience.
  • Valid Fall Protection certification (training can be provided).
