Your Role as a Solar Installer
- Install solar panel systems on residential and commercial rooftops and ground-mount structures.
- Ensure job site safety and proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Operate hand and power tools to install racking and solar components.
- Provide exceptional service and communication with clients.
- Maintain clean and organized job sites.
What You Bring:
- Ability to carry up to 60 lbs and work on ladders and rooftops.
- Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor conditions year-round.
- Reliable transportation and occasional willingness to travel out of town.
- A team-oriented mindset and passion for sustainability.
- Minimum English level CLB 7 for safety compliance.
- Must be eligible to become an apprentice in Alberta if not already indentured.
Preferred Assets (Not Required):
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
- Experience in construction, trades, or roofing.
- Solar installation training or certification (e.g., SAIT, NAIT, NABCEP, SEI).
- Prior solar installation experience.
- Valid Fall Protection certification (training can be provided).
