Senior Digital IC Design Engineer
TM8 Recruitment is seeking a Senior Digital IC Design Engineer for our client, an industry leader in high-performance video and audio semiconductor solutions. Specializing in the consumer entertainment, home electronics, and automotive technology sectors, our client is known for pioneering ASIC development using advanced CMOS technologies that integrate extensive digital blocks with precision analog circuitry.
About the Role
As a Senior Digital IC Design Engineer, you will join a high-energy team focused on developing cutting-edge mixed-signal integrated circuits (ICs). Your primary responsibility will be the digital design and verification of these ICs, working closely with analog engineers to create seamless, high-performance mixed-signal solutions.
This is a hands-on engineering role where your creativity, technical expertise, and innovation will directly impact the development of leading-edge semiconductor products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the digital design process for mixed-signal ASICs using Verilog and VHDL.
- Collaborate with analog/mixed-signal engineers to integrate digital and analog functions.
- Develop and run testbenches using ModelSim for verification and debugging.
- Ensure designs are optimized for testability and performance.
- Support lab testing and validation with industry-standard tools.
Required Skills and Experience
- 8+ years of experience in digital IC design using Verilog.
- Deep understanding of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) concepts.
- Proficient in ASIC and/or FPGA design and implementation.
- Strong experience writing and executing testbenches; hands-on with ModelSim.
- Knowledge of design-for-test (DFT) and mixed-signal integration.
- Experience with MATLAB, embedded systems, and communications protocols including I2C, I2S, SPI, USB.
- Familiarity with Xilinx FPGA tools and strong debugging and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Competency in using lab equipment: oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies, and soldering tools.
