Key Responsibilities:

Install solar electric systems for residential and commercial buildings, including sloped roofs and ground-mount projects
Maintain a strong focus on site safety, including the use of fall protection and PPE
Assist in leading installations based on design and specifications
Distributing materials and equipment throughout the site (using ladders and equipment)
Operate hand and powered tools to install solar racking and modular components
Provide training and mentorship for junior team members and apprentices
Maintain site organization and contribute to a clean, safe work environment
Deliver a high level of customer service and professionalism on site

Qualifications:

Journeyperson Electrician Certificate required (Red Seal preferred)
Experience with medium and high-voltage terminations is an asset
Strong communication and leadership abilities
Willingness to work at heights and in varied weather conditions
Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials (up to 60 lbs) throughout the day
Comfortable working on roofs (prior experience is an asset)
Willingness to work out of town as required
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and reliable transportation
Strong team mindset with a commitment to safety, quality, and collaboration

Additional Assets (Preferred):

Formal solar training or certifications (SAIT, NAIT, NABCEP, SEI, or similar)
Experience with solar installations (residential or commercial)
Valid fall protection certification (training available)
