Key Responsibilities:
- Install solar electric systems for residential and commercial buildings, including sloped roofs and ground-mount projects
- Maintain a strong focus on site safety, including the use of fall protection and PPE
- Assist in leading installations based on design and specifications
- Distributing materials and equipment throughout the site (using ladders and equipment)
- Operate hand and powered tools to install solar racking and modular components
- Provide training and mentorship for junior team members and apprentices
- Maintain site organization and contribute to a clean, safe work environment
- Deliver a high level of customer service and professionalism on site
Qualifications:
- Journeyperson Electrician Certificate required (Red Seal preferred)
- Experience with medium and high-voltage terminations is an asset
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Willingness to work at heights and in varied weather conditions
- Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials (up to 60 lbs) throughout the day
- Comfortable working on roofs (prior experience is an asset)
- Willingness to work out of town as required
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- Strong team mindset with a commitment to safety, quality, and collaboration
Additional Assets (Preferred):
- Formal solar training or certifications (SAIT, NAIT, NABCEP, SEI, or similar)
- Experience with solar installations (residential or commercial)
- Valid fall protection certification (training available)
