Primary Responsibilities

Install solar PV systems on residential rooftops, commercial buildings, and ground-mount sites
Maintain a strong focus on crew and site safety, including proper use of PPE and fall protection
Interpret design drawings and ensure high-quality workmanship
Distribute materials and handle solar panels (up to 60 lbs)
Use hand and power tools to install solar racking and modules
Mentor apprentices and contribute to a supportive team culture
Maintain site cleanliness and professional communication with customers

Qualifications – Must Haves

Journeyperson Electrician Certificate (recognized in Alberta) – Red Seal is a strong asset
Experience with medium and high voltage terminations
Physically fit and capable of lifting and carrying solar panels (60 lbs)
Comfortable working on ladders and roofs (varied slopes)
Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation
Willing to occasionally travel for out-of-town projects
Minimum CLB 7 English level for safety communication

Preferred Assets (Nice to Have)

Experience in solar panel installation
Solar certifications or training (SAIT, NAIT, NABCEP, SEI, etc.)
Fall Protection Certification (training can be provided)
Roofing experience (residential or commercial)
